# Fogo Cruzado #  The Fogo Cruzado Institute has developed its own innovative methodology for monitoring shootings in urban centers and their impacts. We have produced more than 20 unprecedented indicators on armed violence in the metropolitan regions of Rio and Recife and, soon, in more Brazilian cities. Through a cell phone app, Fogo Cruzado receives and makes available information on shootings and gunfire. This information is available in the first open database on armed violence in Latin America, which can be accessed free of charge through our API.
