Since its founding in 2016, CJARS has collected tens of millions of records from more than a dozen states. We are currently working to expand our data partnerships to increase geographic, jurisdictional, and criminal justice procedural coverage. We aim to build a database that follows every criminal episode from arrest to final sanction. For more information [visit the Criminal Justice Administrative Records System website ](https://cjars.isr.umich.edu/) **Focus Areas and Topics** [[Security and Safety]], [[Data Governance]], [[Data Infrastructure]], [[Data Cooperatives]], [[Digital Public Infrastructure]] **Projects and Programs** Research: CJARS enables breakthrough research on critical questions that could not otherwise be addressed. Major data improvements include following cases across agencies (from arrest through discharge) and supporting integration with extensive individual-level social, demographic, and economic data held by the U.S. Census Bureau. https://cjars.isr.umich.edu/overview/research/ **Funders and Partners** For more information about the [Funders](https://cjars.org/) and Partners, please visit [Criminal Justice Administrative Records System](https://cjars.isr.umich.edu/) **People and Careers** Visit the LinkedIn page to find out more about the [people](https://www.linkedin.com/company/cjars/people/) working at Criminal Justice Administrative Records System and the [career opportunities](https://www.linkedin.com/company/cjars/jobs/) currently available.
